Global Manufacturers of Digital Technology & TEREC North America Selects Edmonds Dental Prosthetics!

Edmonds Dental Prosthetics was recently selected to host the 2010 TEREC N.A. Fall Meeting.  TEREC (Technical Research Consortium) consists of 14 of the leading full service dental laboratories located from coast to coast in the U.S. and Canada.

Terec Edmonds “Edmonds was the ideal laboratory environment for the group to visit due to their understanding and commitment to technology.  Their ability to successfully incorporate new ideas and procedures is setting the standard for all dental laboratories to follow.  They have done a great job of staying on top of what is out there!” Said Kim Karpowitz, Pres/CEO of Turning Solutions Inc.   Kim’s company was one of the manufacturers making the trip to Edmonds Dental Prosthetics along with Arges, Clon3D, Dental Mill, 3 Shape, and Objet.  These companies represent the leaders in digital technology focusing on the dental industry through digital Impressioning units, milling machines, design software, printing equipment and materials.

“We were honored to welcome our TEREC partners to our laboratory as well as the manufacturers who not only made the trip to Springfield, but brought with them the latest in digital Impressioning, design software, milling and printing technologies known to the dental industry.  To have these units set up and working in our laboratory is rewarding to say the least.  Seeing the digital impressioning wands capturing data with such ease, using the latest advancements in materials and software, along with the SLA (Stereo Lithography Apparatus) printed models; quickly reinforced in our minds that the future is indeed here and that we are on the right track!”  Said Bob Edmonds, Pres/CEO of Edmonds Dental Prosthetics Inc.

Edmonds is one of 10 dental laboratories in the US that was chosen to Beta test and distribute the Clon3D digital impressioning system.  We are currently working with it in the laboratory and in the next few months we will be looking to partner with dental offices, essentially closing the digital loop.  In the mean time we will be hosting tours of our laboratory, highlighting the new technology we are currently using, introducing the Clon3D unit and possibly a 2nd intra oral scanner. The first two tours will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011, one from 10:00am-12:00pm and one held from 1:00pm-3:00pm with more to be scheduled at a later date.  Attendance is limited to 10 participants for each group.  To reserve your spot, please call Paul Phillips, Client Services Coordinator at 800.462.3569, 417.881.8572 or email at Paul at pphillips@edplabs.com.
